Let’s Talk About What Has Your Attention & Clearer Next Steps

Something is usually already happening
before someone reaches this page.

  • A result is underperforming.

  • A process feels harder than it should.

  • A new opportunity is emerging.

  • The data is telling an incomplete story.

  • AI looks useful—but where it belongs is still unclear.

  • Or maybe something simply doesn’t make sense yet.

You do not need to arrive with a project brief, a diagnosis, or a solution.

A Simple Starting Point

You don’t need to know whether you need consulting, analysis, software, AI, a diagnostic, a workshop, or something that doesn’t have a name yet.

Start here:

Tell me, what has your attention—and why does it matter now?

What Happens Next

You'll hear directly from me.

Your note is on its way to Carl.
He’ll spend a little time with what you shared before he responds. No canned handoff. No automated pitch.

The next step is simply a more useful conversation.

The first conversation is not a pitch and does not require a commitment.

We'll start by trying to understand:

‍ ‍✶ What is happening?
✶ What would you like to be happening instead?
✶ What do we actually know?
‍ ‍✶ What remains uncertain?
✶ What might be worth doing next?

Sometimes that leads to an engagement.
Sometimes it leads to a smaller experiment, a different question, or a useful introduction.
And sometimes a good conversation is enough.

How I Tend to Work

I’m interested in the gap between what is happening and what could be happening.

That usually means working through some combination of:

Operations
Where is performance constrained, leaking, or behaving differently than expected?

Evidence
What do the available data, workflows, conversations, and outcomes actually tell us?

Decision-making
What is known, what is assumed, and what uncertainty matters most?

AI + Software
Where could technology create a genuinely better operating capability rather than another layer of complexity?

Human behavior
What has to become understandable, relevant, useful, and easy enough for someone to actually act?

The goal is rarely “more technology.”

The goal is a better operating condition.

Activity is visible. The expected result is not.

That usually makes the interesting question less about effort and more about where effort stops translating into results.

AI is not automatically an operating improvement.

The useful question is usually:

Where could it reduce uncertainty, remove friction, improve a decision, or make a human interaction more useful?

Good.

Uncertainty is often where the useful work begins.

The objective is not to defend the first idea.

It is to acquire enough evidence to make the next decision better.

A dashboard can describe the condition without diagnosing it.

Sometimes the next step is simply figuring out what evidence would distinguish one explanation from another.

Agreement is not adoption.

Sometimes the real work is understanding the behavioral gate:

Who needs to act, under what circumstances, and what would make the next action relevant enough to actually happen?
